Privacy Policy

Last Updated: 15 March 2025

At lenthariox, we respect your privacy and understand that managing your finances means trusting us with sensitive personal information. This policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your data when you use our budgeting services.

We're committed to transparency. If something here doesn't make sense or you have questions, get in touch with us directly.

Information We Collect

When you use lenthariox's budgeting tools, we collect several types of information to provide and improve our services. The data we gather falls into categories based on how you interact with our platform.

Personal Information You Provide

This includes data you give us directly when creating an account or using our services:

  • Name, email address, and phone number for account creation
  • Financial goals and budget preferences you set in your profile
  • Payment information when you subscribe to premium features
  • Any messages or feedback you send through our contact forms

Financial Data

With your explicit permission, we collect financial information to help you track spending and create budgets. This might include transaction data, account balances, and spending categories. We never access your banking credentials directly—all financial connections use secure, encrypted third-party services.

Usage Information

We automatically collect data about how you use lenthariox, including pages visited, features accessed, time spent on the platform, and device information like browser type and operating system. This helps us understand what works and what doesn't.

How We Use Your Information

Your data serves specific purposes that directly relate to providing budgeting services. We don't use your information for unrelated marketing or sell it to third parties.

Primary Uses: We use your personal and financial information to operate your account, process transactions, generate budget reports, send important service notifications, and provide customer support when you need help.

Beyond core functionality, we analyze usage patterns (in aggregate, not individually) to improve our tools, fix bugs, and develop new features that actually help people budget better. Sometimes we'll send educational content about budgeting strategies, but you can opt out of those emails anytime.

Legal and Security Purposes

We occasionally need to use your data to comply with Australian financial regulations, prevent fraud, resolve disputes, or respond to legal requests from authorities. These situations are rare but important.

Data Sharing and Third Parties

We work with carefully selected partners to operate our services, but we don't hand over your information casually. Here's who might see your data and why.

Partner Type Purpose Data Shared
Financial data providers Connect your bank accounts securely Read-only access to transactions
Payment processors Handle subscription payments Payment card details (encrypted)
Cloud hosting services Store and process your data All account information
Analytics providers Understand platform usage patterns Anonymized usage data only

All partners are contractually required to protect your data and can only use it for the specific purposes we authorize. We conduct regular security reviews and only work with providers who meet Australian privacy standards.

Your Privacy Rights Under Australian Law

The Australian Privacy Act gives you specific rights regarding your personal information. We support these rights fully and have processes in place to honor your requests.

  • Access your personal data—we'll provide a copy of what we hold within 30 days
  • Correct inaccurate information in your account settings or by contacting support
  • Delete your account and associated data (some transaction records may be retained for legal compliance)
  • Object to certain data processing activities if you have valid grounds
  • Request data portability—get your information in a structured format
  • Withdraw consent for optional data collection at any time

To exercise these rights, email us at support@lenthariox.com with your request. We'll verify your identity (for security) and respond promptly. Most requests are handled within two weeks.

Data Security Measures

Protecting financial information isn't optional for us—it's fundamental. We employ multiple layers of security across our infrastructure.

Technical Safeguards

All data transmission uses TLS encryption (the same technology banks use). Your information is encrypted both in transit and at rest on our servers. We use industry-standard AES-256 encryption for stored data and regularly update our security protocols.

Access Controls

Only authorized lenthariox staff can access user data, and only when necessary for support or maintenance. All access is logged and monitored. We use multi-factor authentication internally and conduct regular security training.

While we implement robust security measures, no system is completely invulnerable. If a data breach occurs, we'll notify affected users within 72 hours and report to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner as required by law.

Data Retention and Deletion

We don't keep your data forever. Our retention periods balance your need to access historical information with privacy considerations.

Active account data remains accessible as long as you use lenthariox. If you stop using your account but don't delete it, we'll retain your information for 24 months before archiving non-essential data. After that, we keep only the minimum required for legal compliance (typically financial transaction records for seven years under Australian tax law).

Deletion Procedures

When you request account deletion, we immediately remove your personal profile and budget data. Financial transaction records required for compliance are anonymized—we strip out identifying information while preserving records for auditing purposes. The entire deletion process completes within 90 days.

Backups are overwritten on a rolling three-month cycle, so deleted data may persist in backups temporarily but cannot be restored or accessed.

Cookies and Tracking Technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies to make lenthariox function properly and understand how people use the platform.

Essential Cookies

These cookies are necessary for basic functionality—keeping you logged in, remembering your preferences, and securing your session. You can't disable these without breaking the service.

Analytics Cookies

We use analytics cookies to measure platform performance and identify areas for improvement. These collect anonymized data about page views, feature usage, and navigation patterns. You can opt out through your account settings.

We don't use advertising cookies or sell data to advertisers. Third-party cookies are limited to essential service providers like payment processors.

International Data Transfers

lenthariox primarily stores data within Australia using local cloud infrastructure. However, some service providers (like email delivery or customer support platforms) may process data internationally.

When data leaves Australia, we ensure adequate protection through contractual safeguards that meet Australian Privacy Principle standards. Partner companies must provide equivalent privacy protections regardless of their location.

Your financial data always remains on Australian servers. Only non-sensitive operational data (like support ticket information) may be processed overseas.

Children's Privacy

lenthariox isn't designed for children under 18. We don't knowingly collect information from minors. If we discover that someone under 18 has created an account, we'll delete it promptly.

Parents or guardians who believe their child has provided us with personal information should contact us immediately at support@lenthariox.com so we can remove it.

Changes to This Policy

Privacy practices change as technology and regulations develop. We review and update this policy regularly to reflect those changes.

When we make significant modifications, we'll notify active users by email at least 30 days before changes take effect. Continued use of lenthariox after the notice period means you accept the updated terms. If you disagree with changes, you can delete your account before they go into effect.

Minor updates (like clarifying existing practices or fixing typos) won't trigger email notifications but will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page.
